Art in Skerries

Many nationally famous artists have come to Skerries and have been so impressed that they have chosen to live here. One such person is Mr Paul D’Arcy who now has his own studio “Daffodil Art Gallery” situated just about 1 mile from Skerries town centre. Oils, watercolours and drawings can be found in this modern , beautifully lit studios . Modern sculptures by leading artists are dotted strategically around the three rooms. Paul exhibits the work of a number of well – known local artists such as Ciarán Clear, Jim Kilgarriff, Robert Ryan, Des Fitzsimon, Marie Fallon, Jock Nicho, James English Aarch, Mick O’Dea. The studios layout lends itself to many things – individual or group showings with poetry and art-workshops planned for the future.

The Daffodil art gallery represents artists who live and work in Ireland. This wonderful large gallery is a world away from the hustle and bustle of life and is situated amid a beautiful garden landscape. You are encouraged to relax and enjoy the extensive variety of paintings , drawings, sculpture and fine art prints from established and emerging talents. The gallery is wheel chair accessible and has its own car park.

The two thousand square foot gallery is divided into three rooms allowing for an extensive and varied exhibition calendar. There is also a sliding rack system installed in the gallery for you to browse through. Slide projection ,audio and seating facilities are also available
